Sea turtles

Along with three NGO involved in the education of the population and engaged in thorough research on marine conservation in Mauritius, Editions Vizavi has a major concern: the protection of sea turtles. It was then quite natural for them to propose a new educational booklet on sea turtles for our young readers. The main goal of this project is to sensitize kids by improving their knowledge regarding sea turtles in Mauritius and by giving them answers as for their protection. They can learn about their biodiversity, what their protection implies from a legal stand point or what is the best way to behave while in the presence of sea turtles.

What is a reptile? What is the difference between reptiles and mammals? What is the life cycle of a sea turtle? How do they communicate? Thanks to this booklet, kids will have all the answers. Indeed, they can learn, for instance, how to differentiate sea turtles, freshwater turtles and tortoises. Moreover, amongst the lively colours of this booklet, they can strengthen what they have learnt through fun activities. Crossword puzzles, true/false quizzes, origami… you name it!

These pages will take your kids on a journey that will help them understand the importance of the environment that surrounds us.
