Generation Tikulu
In the first show starring Tikoulou, some readers of different generations tell us what they discovered in the albums, while toddlers illustrate in their own way the character.

« There is no age »
«
I discovered Tikulu at the age of 8. Being a big fan of sharks, my father bought me a copy of S.O.S. Shark. The illustrations have stuck me and this adventure has seduced me. For me, Tikulu is a real adventurer. I have not read the entire collection, but I think there is no age to go back with Tikulu in an adventure. »

« For life »
« Tikulu is my partner for life. My parents read it to me when I was a child. Later, I read each of his adventures. The reading is simple and the illustrations are very beautiful. I think there is no age to read Tikulu: it’s a bit like our Little Prince of Mauritius. I can’t wait to see the show. I know that one day, when I’m dad, I’ll pass on Tikulu’s legacy to my child. There are so many kindly messages between the lines. For example, on the lands of Grandmother Kalle, I learned that language isn’t a barrier to friendship, even to love. »

I’m indebted to Tikulu »
« When you’re 9 years old and you see a book like Tikulu, it’s the colors that appeal to you the most. The adventures were some more interesting than the others. After that, it did not interest me anymore: I grew up and not Tikulu. However, I’m indebted to Tikulu. Thanks to him, I discovered the museums, the capital of Mauritius, the fruits, the games of yesteryear … I admit that I even dreamed during the trips of Tikulu. Especially the one where he goes to Seychelles. The colors are lively and the vocabulary sometimes comical. Thanks to Tikulu, the child invents his story through images. »

Culture and respect »
«
I discovered Tikulu a few years ago. I was 19 years old. I was working with a few children and I had to read to them. Thanks to the simple words and beautiful pictures of these albums, I was able to teach children the difference of cultures and respect. When a child passes a message to another, he understands it better. Hence the interest of the little ones for this character. My favorite album of Tikulu is the one where he goes to Rodrigues. The description of the island is perfect. It made me want to go to this island. »

« Product 100% Mauritian »
« I’m not an expert on the subject, but I can’t wait to see Tikulu’s show. What appeals me the most in the adventure of this little guy is that it is a product 100% Mauritian. Its pace, its course across our island … everything gives it an authentic appearance. I knew Tikulu as an actor in the cartoon that was dedicated to him and I’m excited to see him as an actor. It will be an opportunity to discover it with your family. »
