A passion for reading

Before 1998 in Mauritius, there was no children’s literature that focused on a Mauritian protagonist. Moreover, children did not read or very little. Pascale Siew and Henry Koombes decided they wanted to share their passion for reading through picture books that aimed the young population. As a consequence, introducing the joy of reading to kids has become a priority for Tikulu’s parents.

This is how we discovered Tikulu, our little Mauritian hero, in 1998 in In Dodoland. A new Mauritian protagonist was born!

And In Dodoland is only the beginning of a much bigger adventure!
